Research Areas.

Fields where active research touches the same mechanisms the practice claims to engage. Listed by area rather than by named researcher, to avoid implying endorsements that have not been given.

Adjacent research domains

  • Breath and autonomic regulation — vagal tone, respiratory physiology, heart rate variability.
  • Interoception — the perception of internal states and its relationship to attention and regulation.
  • Movement and aging — balance, mobility, falls, and resilience across the lifespan.
  • Mind-body practice research — qigong, tai chi, and related contemplative-movement traditions.
  • Connective tissue and mechanotransduction — how slow loading affects fascia and signalling.
  • Stress physiology — HPA-axis dynamics and the effects of structured recovery practices.

Why no named list yet

Naming specific researchers in association with Xi Sui Jing risks two things: implying they study or endorse the tradition when they may not, and giving the page a veneer of credibility built on assertion rather than evidence. Named citations will be added only when the underlying work has been read and the framing has been checked.
