Meridian & Channel Work.

Movements designed to open the long lines of the body. The traditional language is meridians; in practice the experience is one of restored continuity along the body's connective tissue.

Common shapes

  • Long stretches through arms, sides, and legs.
  • Spirals that wind tension along a line and release it.
  • Twists through the spine to mobilize the trunk.
  • Sustained holds at the end-range, letting breath do the work the muscle would otherwise force.

Reading the experience

You do not need to accept the meridian map to benefit from the practice. The body responds to long, supported, breath-led lengthening regardless of the explanatory framework.
